How to view insights
Viewing Insights
After submitting a quote, you can track how it stacks up against the competition using Insights. This helps you understand where you stand on lead time and pricing — and how to position yourself to win.
Why it matters: Insights give you a real-time read on how competitive your quote is. Knowing where you fall helps you decide whether to hold firm, adjust, or lean harder into what makes you stand out.
Getting to Your Quotes
Click Quotes in your left-hand navigation bar, then select Quotes from the dropdown. Here you’ll find all submitted quotes and any drafts, along with their current status.
Viewing Insights
Click View Insights on any quoted RFQ to see how many total quotes have been submitted and how your lead time compares to others. As more quotes come in, you’ll be able to see the lowest, middle, and highest values — and exactly where you fall.
Lead Time vs. Pricing
-
Lead time benchmarks are visible as soon as other quotes are submitted.
-
Pricing benchmarks are only visible once the RFQ closes — to keep the process fair and prevent bidding wars.
How to Read the Numbers
If you’re at or below the median for lead time or pricing, you’re in a strong position among the competition.
If you’re above the median, don’t be discouraged. Focus on positioning your strengths — quality, communication, experience — to differentiate yourself. You can still win the job.
Take the lowest number with a grain of salt — it reflects the lowest price submitted at any point, and may include typos or incomplete quotes.
Remember: Most buyers are not simply going with the lowest bid. Strong communication and a good relationship with the buyer can be just as important as your numbers.
